Gender-Based Violence: strengthening responses

GRT delivered an intensive three-day training on gender-based violence (GBV), engaging 25 police officers and officials from Narok County in Kenya.

The training strengthened a survivor-centred, human rights-based approach, deepening participants’ understanding of relevant legal frameworks, ethical investigations, evidence collection, trauma-informed interviewing techniques, and perpetrator accountability, while also promoting effective coordination among the various services involved.

The initiative addressed persistent structural gaps in the management of GBV cases, contributing to strengthening response capacities and improving access to justice for affected individuals.
